High Heels

Heels are a foot wear that raises the heel of the wearer's foot significantly higher than the toes. High heels give the person an illusion of longer, and more slender legs. High heels come in a wide variety of styles. High heels are found in many different shapes, including: stilettos, pumps, block, blade and wedged. Most heels are only worn by girls/women. Some are worn by both genders, they are called elevated heels.

Stilettos: stiletto heel is a long, thin, high heel found on some boots and shoes, usually for women. It is named after the stiletto dagger, the phrase being first recorded in the early 1930s.
Pumps: Shoes with low cut front and usually without any fastening or straps. Ankle straps do make occasional appearance on pump shoes.
